Sometimes i like to record cover versions of old favourite songs. It gives me pleasure but also teaches me lots. There's usually something in the song that makes me wanna learn how to play it. Neat drum rhythms and fills, bass lines, guitar parts or vocal harmonies. Also, lots of neat old 60's production techniques always get me excited to record. Sometimes i just wanna hear what an old song would sound like with my guitar and drums. My voice. Well, i got quite into the process again through June 2023 and ended up with a bunch of recordings i was quite pleased with.

I'm never sure what to really do with cover songs or if anyone will even care to hear them, but after some thought i decided to collect 20 of the tunes and make my own version of one of those old Ronco/Ktel kinda collections just for bandcamp. I even made my own take on the old cover art they used. These song choices weren't all actual top 40 hits, but they're all favourites of mine for sure.

I hope you enjoy hearing these, i had a lot of fun recording them.

As a lifelong fan of psyche, I was delighted to have found this, stunned that I'd missed them for three decades and devastated by the news of Dallas' passing. Makes many of the album's lyrics even more poignant. I hear echoes of the Chocolate Watch Band, Long Ryders and both the pop and country sides of the Byrds.
